Want to know the best Shopify apps to use in your store? Here are 99 – yes, 99 – Shopify apps that you can start using today.
Watch the video below:
(Click here to watch on YouTube)
Shopify apps are tools you can plug in to your store. The aim of apps is to help improve different areas in your store. With the ultimate goal focused on increasing sales, boosting conversions and automating the running of your store.
But instead of giving you 10 apps, we found 99 of the best Shopify apps that you can start using in your store today.
We realised that, unlike other blogs out there, not every store is a one-size-fits all. Stores come in different shapes and sizes; different audiences, different niches, different models and different strategies.
Stores also change. The same app that works for a store at its infancy may be different to what they need three years to come. Stores mature in their own unique way and require different types of apps to help them grow along the way.
That’s why we chose 99 apps, and not just the bare minimum. So you can see a bird’s eye view of what apps are available to you – and how they help your store grow.
Of course, you don’t have to use all 99 of them (we even recommend you don’t). Instead, use the list as a reference when deciding on what apps you’d like to use – then make your own informed choice.
Here they are!

Pricing: 14-day trial / $29/month
Shopzie is an amazing dropshipping app created by another one of our Wholesale Ted contributors: Fred Lam.
Although similar to Oberlo, Shopzie offers cash back every time you dropship an item. What most people don’t realise is, AliExpress have an affiliate program. Shopzie connects with this program and gives you up to 10% of your cash back.

Ever heard “the money is in the list”? Like email, you can incentivize customers with a free coupon (in exchange for their messenger) as a way of remarketing. Facebook messages have super open rates (better than email), so it’s a great one to consider.
Pricing: $29/month (28-day free trial)
Another popular, yet expensive remarketing app.
Pricing: $47/month / $127/month (14-day free trial)
This works exactly like Shopzie and Oberlo, only that you have the extra option of dropshipping from big retail stores like eBay and Amazon.
In all honesty though, we don’t recommend this. If a customer places an order from your store, and it arrives in an Amazon package – they’ll know how much the item really costs. And won’t be happy.
Pricing: FREE!
This app automatically optimizes the alt text of your images. A tedious task now handled in seconds.
Pricing: $1.49/month (15-day free trial)

This app solves a problem a lot of sellers face: the ‘free – just pay shipping’ issue. Shopify don’t have a built in way to run this sort of promo, but this app does.
Pricing: $85 for 28 days
At $85/month, this app is definitely on the more advanced side. But well worth it if you’re doing multi-channel fulfilment.
Pricing: FREE!
This app helps you keep in line with GDPR laws, by adding a banner that links to your cookie policy. (Oh, and it’s FREE!)
Pricing: FREE / $3/month / $7/month / $19/month
A more advanced alternative to #29.
Pricing: $6.92/month (14-day free trial)
As you can tell by the name, this app adds a sticky cart and “buy now” button on a product page. An easy to boost sales and conversion, without much of an effort from you.
Pricing: $15.95/month (14-day free trial)
Vendors have found the cart page decreases conversions – making this app the perfect antidote. Instead of customers going to their cart, looking at their items, then going to check out – this app takes them straight from the product page to checkout.
Pricing: FREE / 24/month / $79/month / $299/month
Privy lets you use pop-up boxes to capture emails. Pro tip: use discounts as an incentive to capture leads.

This is very similar to Privy, but cheaper. Try both out and see what works best for you.

This app pretty much does the same job as the other two Instagram apps above, with the only difference being the style.
Pricing: FREE / $9.99/month
This is the “FREE shipping on all orders!” bar you see on pretty much every dropshipping store. A great tool to have since people sometimes forget this benefit.

Another alternative to #38, but just as effective. Try both out and see which one works out best for you.
Pricing: $9.99/month (30-day free trial)
Unlike the other free currency app we discussed (#17), this app matches the pricing to your currency by detecting your location in real time. All done automatically.
Pricing: FREE / $9.99/month
Another great alternative to Currency Converter, with its own different feel to it. Why not try both and see what you like best?
Pricing: FREE / $9.99/month / $29/month / $99/month (14-day free trial)
This nifty app streamlines the process of customer refunds. Rather than emailing you, customers can slip in their order number and email into a contact form.
Inside your admin area, you can see all the requests and decide whether or not to accept them. A great way to reduce potential complaints and disputes.
Pricing: $10+ (30-day trial)
If you don’t like the feel of Aftership, then give Return Magic a try.
Keep in mind that the price you’ll see on the link isn’t what it makes out to be. You actually get charged per return. So the more returns you get, the cheaper it gets.
Pricing: FREE ($0.17 fee charged per PayPal order)
If you dropship items from AliExpress, you’ll know shipping times are rather long.
That’s why this app automatically adds tracking information to customers’ orders, so they know you didn’t just run away with their money.
By the way, shipping times don’t really matter. The video below explains exactly why.
Pricing: FREE / $9/month / $14.90/month
Social proof is the big factor when influencing someone to buy, making Alireviews is a must-have for your store.
This app directly imports reviews from AliExpress into your store, helping to add trust and authority, while making customers feel more secure about purchasing.
46. Areviews
Pricing: FREE / $6.99/month
Don’t like the way Alireviews looks? Areviews has the exact same features, but a different style and feel.
47. Live Chat for Slack
Pricing: FREE / $8.99/month
We can admit, this app is a little geeky for most people. But still a great app to manage live chats with your prospects and customers.
48. SMS + Free Web Push Messages
Pricing: FREE (pay per SMS message)
This app takes a different angle for contacting customers: using text messages. This is a diverse way to keep in contact with customers, and proven to have high conversion rates.
49. SMSBump SMS Marketing + More
Pricing: FREE (pay per SMS message)
Not happy with FirePush SMS? Give SMSBump a go. It has all the same features, but a different interface. It’s all down to personal choice.
50. Discounted Upsells – Upsell
Pricing: $19.99/month / $29.99/month / $49.99/month (7-day trial)
Upsells are what I like to call a ‘Big Win’, because you can make even MORE money by upselling another product to your customer – after their first purchase.
The best part? The majority of revenue made from an upsell is profit, since you didn’t use any advertising to make the sale.
This app recommends other products to your customer when they add a product to their cart, helping customers reach products they wouldn’t necessarily find themselves – while boosting your AOV (Average Order Value).
51. SMAR7 Bundle Upsell
Pricing: $47/month (7-day trial)
This is actually the app we teach members to use in the Dropship Club.
Although it’ll cost you money, this app takes upsells to a whole new level, allowing you to personalize and build your own complex upsells.
52. Upsell System
Pricing: FREE!
Of course, understandably, you may be looking for an upsell service that’s free. If so, this app is for you.
NOTE: Keep in mind that this app is new, and as its popularity grows, its price most probably will too.
53. Weglot Translate
Pricing: FREE / €9.90/month / €19/month / €49/month / €199/month
This app detects your location, then changes language to wherever you’re based. It’s worth mentioning, though, this app isn’t really free as shown in the image. When you go to Weglot’s website, you’ll see you get charged based on how many website reviews you receive every month.
54. Langify
Pricing: $17.50/month (7-day trial)
This is arguably the most popular language translator – and much cheaper than Weglot. The only catch is that Langify doesn’t translate your page for you automatically, and you’ll be required to do it yourself.
55. Panda Language Translate
Pricing: $7.99/month (7-day trial)
Like Weglot, this app automatically translates pages based on location. But, unlike Weglot and Langify, there is no option to update the language on the checkout page. Keep this in mind when selecting which app you want.
56. Dripshipper
Pricing: $25/month (14-day free trial)
Do you sell coffee? Then this is the perfect app. This print on demand app helps you build your brand by adding your own logo to your packaging and designs.
57. Digital Salesperson by AI
Pricing: FREE / $9/month / $49/month / $119/month
Ever seen something on product page that says “2 people are viewing this right now, and 5 recently purchased”? Those notifications come from apps like this one.
It’s a great way of creating scarcity, which is why it works so well on hotel sites like booking.com. Pro tip: This app works even more effectively when customers already know stock is limited.
58. Sales Rocket
Pricing: $6.95/month (5-day trial)
Similar to Digital Salesperson, with its own unique design.
59. Ako Retargerting – Facebook Ads
Pricing: FREE / $9/month / $18/month / $49/month
This app sets up re-targeting ads on Facebook and Instagram for you. This is more an advanced level, but a great way to recoup lost costumers and increase conversions.
60. ROI Hunter Easy Retargeting
Pricing: FREE / $9.99/month
This app could be used alternatively, though it has one major difference: ROI Hunter helps you set up retargeting ads on Facebook and Google (instead of Instagram).
For low ticket items, I recommend avoiding Google as a platform to advertise because their costs are super high.
61. Shoelace
Pricing: $79/month / $199/month / £399/month / $699/month
Shoelace builds sequences of re-targeting ads. For example, someone might see one ad for three days then another ad for another 3 days.
62. Spin-a-Sale
Pricing: $9.99/month / $29.99/month (10-day trial)
Ah, Spin-a-Sale. One of the most notorious apps that Shopify dropshipping stores use. How it works: When you enter your name and email, the wheel is spun, and customers win a random coupon discount, like free shipping or 20% off.
63. Ampify Me
Pricing: FREE / $9.99/month / $29.99/month / $99.99/month
Load speed is factor Google considers when ranking your site in the search engine. Ampify takes care of this massively, by optimizing your page to increase the load speed of your site.
Not only will it help you get more traffic, it’ll avoid customers bouncing off your page due to slow speed.
64. Mailchimp
Pricing: FREE / $10/month / $199/month
A fantastic email service provider, which we also teach how to use in the Dropship Club. You can build an autoresponder (sequence of emails) sending customers back to your store, so you can make even MORE money from the same customer.
Sort of like having your cake and eating it too.
65. Stamped.io Reviews
Pricing: FREE / $15/month / $29/month / $69/month
Stamped.io is a rather sexier way to gather reviews from customers without them having to leave their email. How it works: Customers receive an email from you where they can submit their own review straight from email.
66. Yotpo Reviews, Photos and Q&A
Pricing: FREE for 50 orders/month / Pro Plan (price not listed)
Yotpo shares many similarities to Stamped.io, with the only pet peeve being they are not so clear on their pricing after you hit 50 orders per month.
67. Facebook Reviews
Pricing: $6.99/month (14-day free trial)
If you have an active Facebook page dedicated to your store, then you might want to check out this app. This app imports reviews straight from your page and displays them on your site – without all the heavy lifting of asking customers to go and leave a review.
68. Free Trust Badge
Pricing: FREE!
Every online should have this in their store.
A trust badge is like a credit card logo that many sites use to associate their brand with security. By connecting your brand with one that they already trust, customers will feel more secure when purchasing from your store.
69. Personalized Recommendation
Pricing: FREE – with a 4% commission on sales it makes
This app recommends similar products that go well with the product a customer is viewing. The app is free, but if a customer purchases an item recommended under suggestions, you’ll be charged a 4% commission (which is quite fair).
70. Bold Upsell
Pricing: $9.99/month / $19.99/month / $39.99/month / $59.99/month (14-day trial)
This app saves you time from having to pick upsells you ‘think’ go well with a product. Instead, this app chooses for you based on the products most likely to convert into a sale.
71. Langshop
Pricing: $17.99/month / $22.99/month / $31.99/month / $56.99/month (3-day trial)
Another language app, but with a unique feature: API integration. I won’t get into the fine details, but if you know this app is right for you – check it out!
72. Checkout Boost
Pricing: $20/month / $27/month / $29/month (15-day trial)
This app encourages customers to share your products to friends on social media. How? When a customer buys an item, you can set it so a pop-up box appears giving them an offer if they share the item on their social media e.g. Facebook or Twitter.
73. Conversion Plus
Pricing: FREE!
Scarcity is one thing we’re seeing again and again with some of these apps – because it works so well! This app is no different, by adding a countdown timer to your page as a way of urging customers to take action, before “it’s too late”.
74. Happy Email
Pricing: FREE!
Happy emails are more than just an email on an autoresponder. These “welcome” emails are designed to build a relationship with customers seconds after purchase.
But what is the real benefit of a welcome email? Well, for one, it’s addressed from you – not customer support pretending to be you. Customers feel a real sense of trust, deeper connection and authenticity when the CEO (you the owner of your store) personally reaches out to them.
The second benefit is – with trust gained between you and the customer – you can provide a call to action and get them to take action, such as leaving a review or even buying another product.
Besides, stats don’t lie: they’re proven to be opened 4x more than a standard email.
75. Email Template Creator
Pricing: FREE!
This app helps aids #1 thing to build trust and authority in your store: Branding. How? Simple: Instead of using the basic email templates Shopify provides, ETC updates them to use your own branding and logo in each email.
76. Supercharged Store Emails
Pricing: $19.99/month / $39.99/month / $99.99/month / $499.99/month
This app takes what Email Template Creator does – and does it even better. It crafts beautifully pieced emails, whether the customer is receiving the order receipt or shipping notification, you can enhance your brand by adding a dash of flavour to each email you send (wow that was cheesy).
Side note: This app is only free for the first 10 months. After you will be charged a monthly fee to use the service.
77. Care Cart Abandoned Recovery
Pricing: FREE!
When a customer abandons their cart, this app will drip feed them emails to get them back to your site to complete their order.
78. PushOwl Web Push Notifications
Pricing: FREE / $19/month
While the app isn’t completely free, it is free for the first 500 impressions. And does a great job of engaging with customers and getting them to return to your site and complete their order.
79. Low Stock Alert
Pricing: FREE / $1.99/month / $2.99/month / $6.99/month (14-day trial)
Running ads to low stock is a no-no for any store owner. That’s why this app notifies you when you’re running low on stock – and allocates you to an alternative supplier that IS in stock (so you don’t run out of stock).
80. LeadDyno Affiliate Marketing
Pricing: $29/month / $49/month / $79/month / $149/month (30-day trial)
Thinking of ways to earn more sales with less work? LeadDyno lets you add an affiliate program that encourages online influences to promote your product, in exchange for commissions.
81. WhatShare
Pricing: FREE! (Optional paid extras available)
This app adds a simple WhatsApp button to your store so customers can share their experience with their contacts.
82. Bold Discount
Pricing: $14.99/month (14-day trial)
Bold discounts schedules big promos of sales days in your store, automatically. How it works: When a big sales day is coming up, like Black Friday, the app automatically discounts your products and puts up big sales banners.
83. Discount Pricing
Pricing: $19.99/month / $29.99/month / $44.99/month (7-day free trial)
This app puts discounting in front of the eyes of the customer. Instead of just offering a discount, it adds discount boxes: so customers can see that if they buy more than one item, they’ll get bulk discounted pricing.
Of course, the app automatically calculates this at checkout to make the pricing is applied.
Guest contributor and dropshipping expert, Adrian Morrison, uses this strategy to rake him in over a million in sales every year in his stores.
Helpful link: Secrets to making $2 million with Facebook and dropshipping
84. Bulk Product Edit
Pricing: $9.99/month / $19.99/month / $39.99/month / $79.99/month (7-day trial)
This app is handy if you have a lot of products in your store. For example, if you were running a 20% off sale, instead of having to manually add the discount to 100+ products in your store – you can add this discount to ALL of them with one click. Great time-saver.
85. Xporter Data Export Tool
Pricing: $7/month / $15/month / $45/month (7-day trial)
When selling the same items 10-20 times a day, there comes a time that – even with a semi-automation tool like Oberlo – fulfilling orders will get time consuming. Xporter let’s you export sales data that you can send as a spreadsheet to AliExpress suppliers, so they can fulfil all your orders for you in one go.
This is a little advanced, but something to definitely look into once your store has made its breakthrough.
86. Order Lookup
Pricing: $10/month (7-day trial)
This app helps avoid the number one thing online sellers hate: refunds. How it works: It adds a portal into your store where customers can enter their order number to track the status of their order.
Helpful tip: Tell your customer about this tracking tool in the first few emails you send them. That way, they know exactly where their items are, so won’t get wound up later on and start filing PayPal disputes.
87. Ship Hero
Pricing: $499/month / $799/month / $1,700/month
This is a fantastic app which lets you track shipments and orders from a range of fulfilment centres. Yes, while this app may not be entirely necessary for the majority of our subscribers – it’s certainly a gold mine for those out there who need it.
88. Smart Search & Instant Search
Pricing: FREE! / $9/month (14-day free trial)
As a customer types in a product into a search bar, this app not only prompts on special keywords, but highlights different products you’re selling. An easy way to getting more product views, which in turn, increases your chances of converting customers.
The app is free for stores that have 25 items or less, so installing this app is a no-brainer.
89. Shipping Rates Calculator Plus
Pricing: $16.99/month (15-day free trial)
Noticed a bunch of people bouncing as soon as they reach checkout? The problem could be the shipping. This app adds a calculator to the customer’s cart – and removes the sneakiness most customers perceive you as.
